Remote Audits are not new as Computer Assisted Audit Technologies (CAAT) has been a part of the scheme for several years.
What is a Remote Audit?
A remote audit is the same as an on-site audit, but the Audit Team and the Organization being audited engage via technology. Audit Objectives are achieved with document and record review, facility tours, interviews with personnel, and opening / closing meetings by the use of various video platforms:
- Live web streaming technology such as Webex, Zoom, MS Teams, GotoWebinar
- Live streaming paired with mobile technology such as a smartphone or tablet with video capabilities (e.g. WhatsApp, Skype or Facetime)
- Confidently share information, securely and safely
Standards International works with you in advance of the audit to ensure underlying technology is in place and compatible.
